The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has denied the assertion from previous Nigerian first woman Patience Jonathan that it is utilizing its agents to irritate her.
Mrs Jonathan a week ago sent a request off to the House of Representatives in which she blamed the NDLEA, EFCC and other security organisations of bothering her.
In an announcement discharged yesterday, the representative of NDLEA, Mitchell Ofoyeju, depicted the affirmations as spurious and deceiving as she was not being researched by the office.
“The NDLEA, as a legitimate organization of government, does not disturb. Or maybe, it makes proper move against anybody or gathering of people who contradict the NDLEA Act Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2001. This is done through careful examination, capture and arraignment of suspected medication traffickers. All operations are led in consistency with the lead of law and worldwide prescribed procedures.”
The NDLEA representative expressed that the office would not badger any individual or association but rather the individuals who damage the nation’s medication laws, regardless of their status, would be captured and conveyed to book.
