A US feel to the undercard

London is graced by the legendary trainer Freddie Roach this weekend. He’s overseeing Scott Quigg, who says he feels like he’s “back in school” since moving to the US to work with Roach.Roach says: “I believe in hard work. It pays off. Scott will show that on the big night. He’s 100% ready, we’ve had great sparring. He’s the only guy I know who works harder than Manny Pacquiao. You’ll see a lot of good changes, I’ve already seen it in the gym.”

Quigg meets Viorel Simion on the undercard with the winner in line for a shot at the world featherweight title.
Luke Campbell, meanwhile, is now immersed in training in Miami before his lightweight eliminator against Darleys Perez.
Campbell says: “I’ve never had it easy in boxing. Always the hard route. I’m expecting a hard night against Perez but I’m ready. I’ve spent only around four weeks in the country this year and have made a lot of sacrifices.”
