Malaga must improve in attack – Gonzalez

Malaga Coach Jose Gonzalez wants to focus on his side improving in attacking areas ahead of Monday’s crucial clash with Las Palmas.

The Andalucian side have managed a paltry 14 goals in 21 league games and sit at the foot of the table, one place and one point behind the Islanders.  “I have noticed in defence we are a lot better, we have only conceded four goals in our last five games,” Gonzalez is cited as saying by Marca.

“We must prioritise improvement in our attacking areas and growing in that respect, we must learn to become extremely competitive quickly.

“In our last two matches we have had chances to win yet have not taken advantage of them and we must start adding points as quickly as possible.

“Las Palmas are a strong team who have improved in the January market, Paco Jemez is an excellent Coach and they are a dangerous opponent.”
