THE Abia State Commissioner of Finance, Obinna Oriaku, Wednesday displayed a spending breakdown of 2018 financial year to the State House of Assembly for endorsement.
Showing the financial plan Oriaku, Oriaku told the legislators that the breakdown gives in detail the budgetary arrangements and recommendations typified in the financial plan of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu introduced to them on December 22, 2017.
Oriaku said that the 2018 Abia State Draft Budget which is initiated “Spending plan of Partnerships and Opportunities” plainly demonstrated government’s course in the present monetary vulnerabilities confronting Nigeria as a country.
The spending he clarified would be financed with anticipated Revenue of N80,083,177,854 (Eighty Billion, Eighty-three Million, One Hundred and Seventy-seven Thousand, Eight Hundred and Fifty-four Naira) as it were. This aggregate evaluated Revenue is comprised of a normal stream of Receipts.
The normal aggregate income from FAAC/V is N50,921,036,894. This speaks to 63.57% commitment from FAAC to the aggregate Revenue, while Independent Revenue contributes 36.43%.
