Barcelona denies an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign midfielder Adrien Rabiot
The 23-year-old since June out of contract at the French champions and has been linked with several top European clubs, including the Blaugrana.
Reports that the central midfielder had already agreed personal terms with Barca was first mentioned by French outlet Le Parisien and later verified by Barcelona-based El Mundo Deportivo.
The Frenchman’s contractual situation has led to reports he could leave the French capital in a cut-price deal this January, or for free next summer.
Earlier this week, PSG chief Antero Henrique commented that the midfielder would not play for the club again unless he signed a new contract: “The player informed me that he will not be signing a new contract and that he wants to leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season “Also the end of his contract”.
“For the player, the consequences are clear – he is indefinitely benched.”
The Catalan giants were strongly linked to Rabiot this summer but instead signed Arthur Melo and Arturo Vidal to replace the outgoing Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.
