Sevilla forward Joaquin Correa hailed the performance of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea during the two side’s 0-0 stalemate.
The Spanish international goalkeeper pulled off a series of fine saves to maintain his clean sheet and ensure the first leg in Spain finished goalless.
“He showed he is one of the best in the world, pulling off some fantastic saves,” Correa said of De Gea, as quoted by Marca.
“It’s thanks to him that we did not win, he put in an excellent performance for them.
“We created lots of opportunities but it is difficult against United as they play on the counter-attack, so we could not leave ourselves exposed.
“We must fight in the second leg but it will be difficult, we need to have the same energy and enthusiasm, and stay focused.”
