Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed, says Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party “PDP’ are “upset” by the achievements of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
The minister said this in reaction to comments credited to the Atiku presidential campaign.
As at Yesterday, the Atiku accused Buhari and the APC of using state resources for campaign.
But in a statement on Friday, Mohammed dismissed the allegation of the former vice-president as “heightened fear”.
He said comments of some people in the PDP campaign are acknowledgements of the administration’s “impressive achievements”.
“In publicizing the activities and achievements of the federal government, the federal ministry of information and culture is only
Carrying out its statutory role,” the minister said.
“Long before the elections, the ministry has used various platforms, including town hall meetings, to showcase the activities and achievements of the administration.
“We understand that Atiku Campaign Organization have been rattled by the achievements as well as the effectiveness of the campaign to showcase them. We are sorry we can’t help them.”
